Osteopath Andrew Smythe DO BSc (Ost) Hons

Andrew Smythe holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Osteopathy having studied at the European School of Osteopathy from 2004 to 2008.  Upon receiving his degree he immediately started working as the resident Osteopath for the Broadstone clinic in 2008, until it finally closed its doors in 2022 when the owner retired.  

He opened his own private clinic Charminster Osteopathy in 2010. Charminster Osteopathy has now grown into one of the most established high street osteopathic clinics in Bournemouth and Poole. 

Prior to Osteopathy Andrew initially moved to Bournemouth aged 21 to pursue his passion of windsurfing, working as a level 5 instructor. he also played Hockey for Bournemouth until leaving for university age 28.

Andrew is fully registered with GOSC the General Osteopathic Council, insured through Balens medical insurance and a member of the Institute of Osteopathy.

We treat most musculoskeletal pain including stiff and painful joints, back and neck pain, headaches and migraine, sports and other common injuries, sciatica, whiplash, tennis elbow, repetitive strain injury, postural and stress-related pain and arthritic conditions.

Great practice. Came in today with an ongoing neck and shoulder issue. Very relaxed atmosphere and lovely bloke. I was impressed with how knowledgeable this guy is. Thanks for the treatment feeling a lot better already.
